This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, which protects your rights as a consumer in South Africa.

At Sock Club, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. While the surprise element means you don't choose specific designs, we stand behind the quality of every pair of socks we deliver.

When Refunds Apply

Defective Products

In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, you are entitled to return defective goods within 6 months of delivery. A product is considered defective if it:

  • Has manufacturing defects (holes, loose threads, uneven stitching)
  • Is materially different from what was described
  • Is not fit for the purpose of socks (e.g., wrong sizing consistently)
  • Is damaged upon arrival
Defective Product Remedies

For defective products, you may choose:

Replacement

Receive new socks at no cost

Refund

Full refund for defective items

Credit

Account credit for future orders

Non-Delivery Refunds

If your order is not delivered:

  • Contact us if your order hasn't arrived within 10 business days of the expected delivery window
  • We will investigate with our courier partner
  • If confirmed lost, you will receive a replacement or full refund

What We Cannot Refund

Please Note

Due to the nature of our surprise subscription service, we cannot offer refunds for:

  • Design preferences: As our socks are randomly selected, we cannot refund based on colour, pattern, or style preferences
  • Change of mind: After receiving non-defective products
  • Used products: Socks that have been worn or washed (except for quality verification)
  • Partial months: No pro-rata refunds for subscription cancellation mid-cycle

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact Us: Email us at support@sockclub.co.za within 14 days of receiving your order
  2. Provide Details: Include your order number, photos of the defect, and description of the issue
  3. Wait for Assessment: We'll review your request within 3 business days
  4. Return if Required: If we need to inspect the item, we'll provide return instructions (at no cost to you for defective items)
  5. Receive Resolution: Replacement, refund, or credit will be processed within 7 business days

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed:

  • Card payments: Refunded to the original card within 5-7 business days
  • EFT payments: Refunded to your bank account within 5-7 business days

Please note that your bank may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account.

Subscription Refunds

For subscription-related refunds:

  • If you cancel your subscription, no refund is provided for the current billing period
  • You will continue to receive socks until the end of your paid period
  • For billing errors, please contact us immediately for correction
